Caitlin Grybel is a native of Austin, Texas and a graduate of the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Caitlin's interest in health sciences and her compassionate nature, led her to seek employment at Great Oaks Animal Hospital where she worked as a Veterinarian Technician while attending high school and throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies. Her experience as a Vet Tech--performing such tasks as dental cleaning, laboratory tests, blood draws, administering medications, taking X-rays, and assisting in surgery--confirmed her desire to pursue a career in which she could assist patients in achieving optimal health and well-being.
Though Caitlin's initial experience was in traditional medicine through veterinary healthcare, she decided to pursue Oriental Medicine because of its holistic nature. The ability to treat the whole person and the root cause of their condition rather than a set of symptoms or complaints appealed to Caitlin and led to her decision to become an acupuncturist. She believes that Oriental Medicine more naturally reflects her desire to take the time to listen to and develop a relationship with her patients. Caitlin is dedicated to bringing patient-centered holistic medicine to her hometown of Austin. She is interested in treating all patients and conditions and has a special interest in women’s health.
